Multiplier effect

Are you familiar with the multiplier effect? Not sure if that is the proper term, but in simple term it is what happened when you have 1 plus 1 equals to more than 2.

In the case of Kecil, Kecil plus Ami equals to LOTS of laughs and funny poses.

Just take a look at them.

We started with a simple walk, and some curious digging into the water drain...

Then perhaps somebody got itchy ...

The other party noticed, and doesn't want to be left out in the posing exercise ...

Then they posed, together now ...

and again...

and again.... Ahem.

Not forgetting to check the results ...

This Mama used to have some reservations about taking two(!) girls for the Dog's walkies.

But over time, we've gotten used to each other company.

It helps that both are good girls who generally behaves  (not to mention always ready to pose!),

the result of which, Mama would usually come home with some cute pics to share.

We look forward to our daily walks.

The Army dress

The swimming suit was not the only gift from Eyang that she trusted to Kecil's Tantes to bring over. Among other things, she sent this camouflage pattern dress for Kecil, as well as the purple batik you saw on the visits post.
There was a bit hesitation on Kecil's part when Mama pushed this dress on her (it would have been such a waste were she to outgrow her clothes before wearing them, no?).
After that purple batik, she has been a bit averse to dresses which are too long, but we managed to get her into the dress.

And when Mama took out her camera.... boy oh boy does the girl turn into a kid model in an instant!

And so we had a bit of fun in taking pics this morning. The photo op was soon followed with a trip to the market (shopping!) with Kecil carrying her Dora pencil case as her 'purse'.
It would seem that Kecil loves her Camo dress. I'm glad. Especially since we still have a pair of Camo pants that I need to convince her to wear. Perhaps soon.

Swimwear preview

It was sunny and hot that day, and since we just got a new swimming suit for Kecil, we decided to go out for a swim, both for the photo-op opportunity and for cooling down.

Kecil gamely grabbed her toy and her float, and we walked past the flowers to the pool.

Final verdict for the new swimsuit:

It's a cute and convenient one-piece, with cute flowers and beads and all.

Just too bad that with the pink color (which Kecil loves!) it no longer co-ordinate with her float.

That's really minor, no?

So yes, we really do love the suit. Thank you, Eyang!

Visits: Walkies & Bye bye!

The good weather continued to hold through the duration of Tante's stay, and with no more destinations planned, we went on our normal walks in the late afternoon, enjoying the beautiful light and company, while Kecil went on with her flower gathering routine.

Among other things, we walked, and took pictures, every one of us: Mama, Tantes and even Kecil!

And all too soon, it was time again to make the long trip to Manila to send Tantes off. We stopped along the highway to get some gifts for the Tantes to bring home, a chance that was used by Kecil to explore the nearby playground.

It was a pretty tiring trip, so there weren't many pics this time round.

But all in all, we had a good time with the two Tantes, and we look forward to many more visits from the family. Until next time, Tante!

(and hopefully no more fighting over gadgets next time!)

The Socials, part deux

After the other day's socials, the Kids got totally hooked. As we sent Ami home, we were reminded to just call her the next day when we are ready to go for walkies.

And so we have yet another set of pics of the two Kids, playing as kids this time.

Unlike the previous day, this time round the girls are a wee bit cranky with each other, with one insisting to go home, the other not wanting to be friends anymore... oh the drama.

Thankfully, all bickering was set aside once we got to the playground.

I suppose in the face of more important matters (such as climbing the monumental structure above), getting the last argument is no longer important.

Not to mention running away from a certain shutter-happy Mama, who pretended to be a monster under the slide and who would happily grabbed both pics and slow legs that come across her way!

Yeah, there's nothing better than the MonsterMama to make these girls scream and laugh.

We did, also, make time for a few swings. Mama even got a pic of a certain very lady-like little girl swinging under the beautiful fading light.

T'was a good walk and frolic in the playground.

And I might be wrong, but me thinks I am about due for another walk now.

The Socials

This week, Mama received some coaching on socializing.

Apparently, for ladies of quality, it means dressing up (in pink!), crafting princessy head gears, donning matching accessories and setting off to explore the potential surrounding.

Flowers are definitely suitable objects of interest. Just beware of the doggie poo poo.

Along the way, there is virtue in using your imagination to turn objects you find to anything that suit your purpose. Like... a no parking sign into an ice cream stall for thirsty little girls ladies, perhaps?

A lengthy discussion ensued to debate the supremacy of pink colored ice cream above any other flavors, including chocolate.

At the end of the debate, it's OK to take out little cute bottles of refreshments right there on the road to quench one's throat.

Oh, and by the way, it's also good to have a traveling photographer to document the social event.

Especially when the said photographer received flowers as form of payment.

Even if the photographer demanded payment often.

Ain't they cute? The girls happen to play together when they decided to make crowns that day. And when I announced my plan to take the Dog out for walk, they both ran to get their respective (pink) bags as well as their crowns. Comments we encountered along the way include the question if there was a birthday party involved.

Ah well... such is the way of Little Ladies, don't you think?
